P&D’s directors have each worked in the specialist electrical services industry for over 25 years. During that period they have gained wide‐ranging experience across many sectors including highways, lighting, rail, utilities, banking, retail and industrial. Their breadth of knowledge has enabled them to establish P&D [and before that – PJM, which was acquired by the Thomas Vale Group in 2006] as highly regarded and successful contractor organisations.
The directors have assembled a vastly experienced management team that enables consistent and technically excellent delivery and which draws upon a flexible resource pool of fully qualified and multi‐skilled operatives to provide client‐focussed, safe and innovative results across sectors.
Our designers are highly skilled, using Amtech Office Suite and AutoCAD to produce as‐built drawings for highway electrical and communication installations, designing feeder pillars, motor control centres, lighting calculations and design of electrical distribution systems. Our design skills can be employed as part of a complete project or as an outsourced design service.
Our fully equipped manufacturing facility and highly trained employees ensure that we can undertake a variety of manufacturing processes. In association with Lucy Lighting and Fisher & Co Engineering we combine quality software with quality hardware, designing and manufacturing feeder pillars for highways and motorways. We also have specialised skills in manufacturing MCX installations and motor control centres to meet any specification.
Our on‐site revolves around three essential elements ‐ expertise, quality and safety. All of our site staff hold appropriate training certificates to work in any situation. All of our electricians are fully trained to the 17th Edition of IEE regulations. We employ all our own staff and own a large resource of plant and equipment.
From our background in electrical engineering, we have continually developed our project management skills and proactively sought not to acquire tunnel vision in our field, multi‐skilling our staff and building a strong network of resources to cope with and cater for any project requirement.
Building on principles of ‘more for less’ and in keeping with our desire to deliver true added value we have identified partners to provide consultancy and systems development alongside our implementation and maintenance services to give us the ability to provide an end‐to‐end turnkey service to clients.
