Average Speed Camera Installation - M1 6a-10 widening

P&D, preferred installation partners to Vysionics ITS (formerly SCS) were contracted to install over 20 cameras over a 10 mile stretch of the M1 between J6a – 10.

Working along side the main client Balfour Beatty SKANSKA, P&D installed on time and maintained the cameras for the entire scheme re locating the cameras when required by the client.

The project required P&D to install over 15 km of fibre optic cable for back bone communications, integrate the cameras into existing and generator power supplies. Installation of, in and above ground pole foundations.

The system was that successful in reducing road collisions it was awarded the Prince Michael International Road Safety Award.
